Ball polishing as preventative care

A large number of small balls made of hardened and highly polished steel continuously roll in a container filled with cold soapwater. The products to be polished are inserted into the steel ball mass for a few minutes. The steel balls roll over the items, smoothen and roll the scratched surface, condense and harden the metal surface by the combined pressure of the steel balls. Instead of attacking the galvanised silver coating, as it is the case with manual polishing, the silver coating is pressed against the basic metal. This method permits the original sparkling shine to be maintained or regained by a mechanical mean. At the same time, the service life is increased considerable as a harder and <<closed>> surface is more resistant to wear and oxidation.

Sparkling silver from the conveyor belt!

GOLIATH II is based on more than 40 years of experience in the design and production of ball polishing plants and is the result of the latest technical developments with respect to material selection and mechanics. The steel balls are set in motion on an endless and continuously moving conveyor belt without interfering vibrations. The insertion and removal of the products to be polished is done NON-STOP, i.e. with the machine running, without any handling elements. With periodic service, approx. 3 minutes, or a number of other articles, such as sauce boats, bowls, casseroles, wine coolers and platters to a maximum size of 30 Ø x 42 cm (12" x 16½").

The patented design convinces by its small dimensions, the simplicity of the mechanics and its modularity. The machine is mounted on wheels and may therefore be integrated directly into a stationary location in the wet cell or be rolled to any location.
