A new, efficient method for cleaning carts and trolleys.

A flexible machine for different types of trolleys

Advantages with Trolley Washer WD-18CW in comparison with traditional machines:

· Large wash capacity. 3 complete carts or 6 half carts are washed and dried in 75 sec. (program 1), 95 sec. (program 2), 120 sec. (program 3).

· No problems washing even bulky objects, different types of containers, plates etc.

· A simple design contributes towards low maintenance costs and a long service life.

The fittings which hold the trolleys in position during the wash process, consist of fixed trolley supports along the long sides, and opening gates on the short sides.

With standard fittings, primarily intended for flight carts, the machine accommodates 3 complete carts or 6 half carts.

Other types of trolleys, e.g. tray trolleys, can be washed if the machine is fitted with special fittings available as accessories.

WD-18CW can also handle taller trolleys. The headroom of the roller doors permits the washing of trolleys with a maximum height of 1850 mm.

Technical description

Sound and heat insulated

The machine is manufactured completely in stainless steel and is insulated. The insulation reduces the heat emission to the room and contributes to a very low sound level.

Wash capacity

The machine washes up to 120 complete carts or 240 half carts per hour.

Automatic doors

The machine consists of a chamber with automatic roller doors at the intake and outlet openings. The doors are made of polyester cloth and roll up over the door opening.

WD-18CW can be delivered with two roller doors for through feeding, or only with one door depending on the design of the dish washing room.

Rotating wash goods

The bottom of the chamber consists of a round disc, the round table, on which the trolleys are placed. The round table, which rotates during the wash process, is driven by a motor controlled by a programmable frequency converter.

The trolleys are held in place by the machine’s fittings. The opening gates for the fittings lock automatically.

Efficient washing
The trolleys are rinsed from the side and from above with re-circulated water by means of a powerful pump and well adjusted rinse system. The design of the rinse system ensures excellent wash results.

Separate water tank
The water from the wash process is pumped via a return to the water tank. The tank is placed beside the machine and fitted with pump strainer, level pipe and heater element (electric or stream element) for heating of the wash water. The opening cover makes the tank accessible for emptying and cleaning.

Electronic version
The switch cabinet and the control panel are placed at a convenient working height. The panel’s electronic display shows programme number, temperatures and fault messages etc. The electronic control panel system ensures precise control and monitoring of the wash process. The machine is delivered with pre-programmed wash programmes, the parameters of which can be easily modified if necessary.

Alternative installation
The machine is normally delivered with the bottom embedded in the floor. As an alternative it is possible to use a stand with infeed and outfeed via ramps.

Heat recovery
The machine’s suction fan induces the hot, moist air in the machine through a condensing battery, where the air is cooled and releases its heat to the incoming cold water. The cold water is led to a booster heater where it is heated to approx. 85dh C and subsequently used as the final rinse water.

Functional description

The trolleys are placed on the round table. A locking device, consisting of trolley support and opening gates, holds the trolleys in position.

The gates lock and the wash process starts automatically when the doors are closed.

The wash program

· Washing with recirculating water and detergent (60dh C). The table rotates at approx. 10 rPm. Rotation enables efficient washing of all the corners on the trolleys.

· Intermediate centrifuging to remove residual detergent prior to final rinsing.

· Final rinsing with fresh water (85dh C) via the machines condenser and booster heater.

· Centrifuging. The table rotates at approx. 45 rpm and the water in the trolleys is centrifuged out. This enables water pockets, which during conventional drying are a problem, to be completely emptied of water. In that the trolleys are hot after rinsing, they dry quickly when they leave the machine.

· On the completion of the wash program the round table stops in a fixed position. The suction fan starts and the roller doors and lock device open automatically.
