User friendly

When the machines are in development, great emphasis is placed on achieving a truly ergonomic working environment. Large, easy to handle doors provide good accessibility when carrying out internal cleaning. The washer arms are simple to remove and reattach. The large cleaning filters at the loading and unloading section can be pulled out from the front.

The efficient sound and heat insulation reduces both the heat emitted and the sound level, which contributes to a good working environment in the dishwashing room.

The automatic start/stop function of the machines is controlled by the items fed into the machine. If the washed items are not removed from the conveyor, the limit switch is activated and the conveyor comes to a stop.

 

Low operating costs and reduced environmental impact

A fully insulated design reduces the heat emitted from the machine. The dual heat recovery system recycles heat from the exhaust ventilation air in the condensing battery, and energy from the final rinse water is recovered in the heat exchanger. The system can recover a total of around 30 KW.

A low, controlled turnover of water in the washing tanks the consumption of detergent. The double final rinse system minimizes the use of fresh water.

 

Excellent wash results

In order to achieve excellent wash results and reduced splashing between the zones, wexiodisk’s flight type machines are equipped with meter-long cleaning zones with powerful and efficient pumps. The washer arm nozzles have been designed to prevent blockages.

Another way of ensuring good wash results is to fit the machines with an intermediate rinse (option) after the pre-wash tank. The double final rinse system guarantees good rinse results.

Monitoring and information

Information on the machines various functions is provide via the diagnostic system. Digital read-outs of water consumption, temperatures, number of items washed, pump operating times, final rinse, heating elements in tanks and booster heaters, etc. are displayed.

Any operational disturbances are shown automatically. The information is shown on the display of the control panel in plain text. It is possible to change the language that the messages are displayed in. The inspection and alarm system ensures compliance with the hygiene requirements of the HACCP quality system.

 

Flexible

The flight type machines are designed to adapt to the items actually being washed. A number of options add to this flexibility.

Examples of options include:

Ø     Different conveyors. Special conveyors can also be made as and when required.

Ø     Intermediate rinse for improved final results and reduced detergent consumption.

Ø     Adjustable washing pressure for optimal performance when washing heavily soiled loads.

Ø     Customized lengths for pre-wash and chemical wash zones as well as for the loading and unloading sections.

 

Long service life and very service-friendly

Flight type dishwashers are built to meet the high operating safety requirements of the future. All parts that come into contact with water are made from stainless material, including the frame and legs.

The machine components are of high quality and placed to ensure servicing can easily be carried out. Most components are easily accessible from the front of the machine. The diagnostic system makes it easier to carry out servicing and trouble shooting. Parts exposed to wear and tear are simple to replace.

   

Many unique advantages with WD-B flight type dishwasher

1. Drying zone

The drying zone uses well sound-dampened high pressure fans that blow air on to the washed items from above and from the sides. The fans work partly by recirculating the heated air in the drying zone, which significantly reduces the amount of power required.

2. Heat recovery System

The warm, damp air inside the machine is sucked through the condensing battery, where it is cooled by the incoming cold water. The cold water is led through the condensing battery, where it is pre-heated to around 40dh C. The water is then taken to the heat exchanger. Here the water temperature is raised to around 50dh C. The machine uses only cold water in normal operation.

3. Double final rinse system

The final uses approx. 400 liters of fresh water and 600 liters of recirculating (reused) water per hour. Approx 300 liters per hour is drained from the recirculating system. This water is cooled to approx. 40dh C in the heat exchanger and is then reused for the pre-wash, intermediate rinse or pre-rinse. The remaining water, around 100 liters per hour, runs over to the chemical wash tanks. This means that the amount of detergent consumed is extremely low.

4. Intermediate rinse (option)

After the pre-wash zone the machines can be fitted with an intermediate rinse. Here the items are rinsed as they leave the pre-wash zone. The rinsing stops loose dirt from entering the chemical wash zone. This results in improved wash results, lower detergent consumption and longer washing periods without the water being changed.

The intermediate rinse reuses water from the final rinse tank, once it’s been through the heat exchanger, as well as fresh water that has been heated in the condensing battery.

5. Double washing pressure (option)

There is a lever to increase the washing pressure in the lower washer arms. This means he items undergo a more powerful mechanical process and the dishwasher can be used for heavily soiled loads.

6. Steam heating (option)

WD-B is available with two different types of steam heating: low pressure steam (50-140 kPa) or normal pressure steam (150-250 kPa). If low pressure steam is steam is used then the drying zone is always heated electrically.

7. Safety

If a door is opened during operation, the machine stops. The machine must restart once the door is closed. The limit switch stops the conveyor if there are any items left on it. The machine starts automatically once the items have been removed. The overload switch stops the conveyor’s drive motor if items have got stuck in the conveyor. When the object is freed the machine can be restarted.

8. Extended chemical wash zone (option)

The first chemical wash zone can be extended out towards the pre-wash zone by 250 or 500 mm. An extended zone is used for example for example when washing long items, in order to reduce splashing between the tanks. The extension also provides a longer contact time for the chemical wash, which helps increase the machines capacity. 

9. Automatic operation 

With automatic operation the photocell is activated by the incoming items being fed in and the machines starts up. The final rinse starts once the load reaches the final rinse zone. If no extra items are loaded, the machine stops automatically. The machine restarts once the photocell is reactivated.

Ergonomics

Recessed finger conveyor as standard

The flight type machines come with recessed finger conveyors as standard. The side of the machine is flush with the conveyor, which means it is very easy to pull out fully loaded washing baskets from the side. It is not necessary to learn over the conveyor in order to lift the baskets.

Using a table placed next to one side of the machine is an excellent idea, as the washing baskets can be pulled sideways on to the table with no lifting required. Finger conveyors have extremely long service lives thanks to their special design and the durable material they are made with.

 

Reduced heat emission

Thanks to the drying zones air inlets being placed under the unloading section, the working environment at the unloading end is improved since as little warm air as possible escapes from the machine. As a result, the unloading staff experience an improved working environment.

Efficient handling

The wide sides of the flight type machine make it easier to unload the machine. It is a simple matter to stack items as plates and trays before they are taken else where.

Depending upon the speed of the conveyor, one or two people can work from each side of the unloading section for the greatest possible flexibility when dealing with the washed items.

   
Conveyors

Different conveyors for greater flexibility

The WD-B flight type machine can be supplied with several different conveyors to accommodate a wide range of items. To further increase flexibility, there is the option of customizing the conveyor to a special item. The conveyors are of a hard-wearing design, with powerful fingers plus shafts and conveyor links made from stainless steel.

The design of the conveyors keeps the items stable during their passage through the machine. The ability to place the items in the right position and at the correct angle in relation to the direction the water sprays contributes to excellent wash results.

Standard conveyor with recessed fingers designed for shallow or deep plates, coffee cups, trays, etc. Also suitable for baskets.

 

The design of the recessed finger conveyor protects the fingers against excessive wear and tear. Shallow and deep plates can be placed at the correct angle to achieve the best possible wash results. Flat conveyor for canteens, pots and plastic crates.
