Easily accessible. The inside of the machine has been made more easily accessible for cleaning purposes to comply with high standards of hygiene. The large well-balanced sliding doors provide maximum access to all wash zones.

Smooth back. The positioning of the water connections on the top avoids all piping at the back. The completely smooth back prevents dust collecting and since all servicing is conducted from the front, the machine can be placed flush with the wall.

Easily accessible service fittings. The pressure reducing valve, solenoid valves, and water meters for the hot and final rinse water, are placed under a lift-up hood on the top of the machine. All fittings are of high quality and intended for industrial use.

Adjustable feeding. For heavily fouled goods the operator can allow the wash basket to stay in the chemical wash zone for an extra long period. The basket moves backwards and forwards under powerful water jets, which continuously change direction in relation to the goods.

Similar wash arms. All the wash arms in the machine are the same, and cannot be confused. The arms release easily for cleaning with an eccentric lock.

Recessed position. Great emphasis has been placed on the design of the exterior. The main switch is protected form mechanical interference by means of its recessed position. Round edges simplify cleaning.

Removable doors. From the hygiene perspective it’s important to be able to clean the back of the doors. By pressing the catch at the top of the door opening it’s easy to lift them out.

Central emptying. All tasks are emptied simultaneously with the lever on the final rinse door. When the door is closed the outlet sealing and level pipe are automatically closed.

Internal cleaning. The inside of the machine is smooth and easy to clean. The feed device is designed to eliminate pockets where dirt can accumulate.

Self-emptying pumps. The vertical pumps are drained when the machine is emptied. This improves hygiene, since no dirty water is left in the pump housing.

Service-friendly electrical installation. The switch cabinet is placed at a convenient working height and all the components are clearly marked. The well executed cabling has resulted in a neat and tidy installation.

Protected drain. The drain is well protected from transport damage by means of its position over the bottom edge of the frame. This also makes the space underneath the machine more accessible for cleaning.

Efficient condensing battery. The battery ensures very efficient recovery of energy. Placed under an opening door, it is easy to lift up for cleaning.

Efficient strainers. The design of the strainers permits storage of a greater volume of leftovers before they need to be emptied.

Tunnel dishwashing machines are manufactured completely in stainless steel plate. In the standard version the machines are insulated from heat and sound. The design incorporates double plates with insulation in between. To further reduce the sound level all the plates have been fitted with sound absorbing material.

Heat Recovery

The hot water-saturated air (11) generated in the machine is induced through the condensing battery (8) where it releases energy to the incoming cold water (6). The cooled air is blown out into the room (5).

The incoming cold water is heated to approx. 50° in the condensing battery. The water is then led to the two booster heaters (12) where the temperature is raised to approx. 85°C to be used for the final rinsing of the goods (10).

Hot water from the final rinse (10) is collected in the tank (14). The pump (15) pumps the water to the re-circulating final rinse (9) and partly to the intermediate rinse (2)

Result:

  • Energy recovery approx. 19 kW
  • The machine does not deed connecting to a ventilation system.

The machines are manufactured in an electronic version. The electronic version has digital temperature displaying and alarm functions for malfunctioning. The electromechanical version has thermometers for temperature displaying and no alarm functions.

Function description of zones
1. Pre-wash without intermediate rinse

In the pre-wash the goods are sprayed with a weak solution of detergent and water at a temperature of approx. 40°C. Surplus water from the final rinse is introduced into this zone. The temperature is controlled by means of thermostatically controlled cold water replenishment.

2. Pre-wash with intermediate rinse

The function is the same as the pre-wash without intermediate rinse. The intermediate rinse rinses off the wash goods before it leaves the zone. This reduces the fouling of the water in the chemical wash. The machine can then be used for a long period without changing the water in the chemical wash tank.

3. Chemical wash

The goods are rinsed here with water and detergent at a temperature of 60°C. The design of the feed arrangement ensures that the wash basket stops in this zone until the next basket moves it on. The angle of the water jets to the wash goods changes all the time, since the basket undergoes a forward and return movement.

4. Double final rinse

The double final rinse increases the reliability of a first-rate rinse results (perfect glasses), while the consumption of fresh final rinse water is reduced. Rinsing is first carried out with re-circulated water and then fresh water at a temperature of 85°C. Approx. 25% of the surplus water from the zone goes to the chemical wash tank. The remaining 75% is led to the pre-wash (WD-211/211E) and to the intermediate rinse (WD-241/241E, 331E).
